Stamina Swim

Aim:

Building stamina through long distance swims, effective stroke techniques. Ability to demonstrate starts, turns and finishes. Use of pace clock and understanding of lane discipline.

Learning Outcomes:

Push and glide from wall with the correct transition to frontcrawl.

Push and glide from wall with correct transition to breastroke.

Push and glide from wall with correct transition backcrawl.

Show an understanding of breastroke double touch finish.

Swim 1 length butterfly showing good technique.

Swim 200m continuously with a choice of stroke.

Swim 50m showing good technique frontcrawl.

Swim 50m showing good technique Breast stroke.

Swim 50m showing good technique Backcrawl.

Demonstrate an understanding of lane discipline.

Swim 4 lengths showing effective starts, turns and finishes.

Working as part of a team complete a 400m relay.

Torpedo skull with hands over head feet first.

Show an understanding of pace clock or coaches timed swims.

Swim 800m with correct starts and turns, choice of stroke.
